ABOUT US
We discovered the crumbling resort of the Hungarian National Bank in Balatonvilágos in 2005, and saw immediatley the potential of this magical place. We started working on it two years later, and although life crossed our plans a couple times, we regeret nothing.
We renovated the building, expanded and rebuilt it to function as a retirement home. But our plans got hindered a few times, so instead of retirement home we eventually opened a hotel by Lake Balaton.
We had one goal: to make sure our guest feel welcome. Gladly, we can proudly say they do. Year after year, the same familiar faces return, confirming for us that we are doing a good job. One of our ground rules is, to always improve and renew. We built a wellness facility, redesigned the rooms, expanded the parking lot. The only thing we didn’t have to change was the proximity of Lake Balaton.
Since 2013 the attention we got started increasing, more and more couples were requesting to get married here, on the shores of Lake Balaton. At the beginning we held these weddings in giant tents, but that wasn’t ideal for a lot of people for a perfect wedding. What if it rains or the winds starts blowing, not to mention the high additional rental costs. We decided to rebuild our panoramic event hall, of course leaving the beautiful view and making the hall bigger. On top of this we built a 130 square meter Aquarium with glass walls by the lake.
Our constant upgrades and dedication didn’t go unnoticed either. In 2018 Tópart Hotel and Restaurant got an award for Best Wedding Venue of the Year.
